London, Ontario, August 11, 2021: September is fast approaching and that means the end of summer, the return of school, and the start of the Western Fair…. or at least it did prior to the pandemic.
With 2021 large gatherings still affected by pandemic safety protocols, and the continued service of the Agriplex as a London Health Sciences Centre field hospital and vaccination centre for southwestern Ontario’s pandemic response plan, the Western Fair Association cancelled the annual fair and modified its 2021 fair offerings once again to compliment health and safety protocols and phases. “2021 allows for a bit more freedom to offer a taste of the Western Fair throughout September,” said Greg Blanchard, WFA Media Spokesperson. “Annually each summer we offer a very popular Park It At The Market event, which is an outdoor market inside Queens Park adjacent to Western Fair’s Market. We plan to enhance that outdoor experience by adding a taste of the Western Fair to a few evenings throughout the month of September.” said Blanchard.
A Taste of Western Fair added to September - Park It At The Market dates
Park It At The Market will have a Taste of Western Fair added to its September mix, while it continues to provide a safe, fun, outdoor family market every Wednesday and Thursday through the summer.
A Taste of Western Fair will feature local food trucks to embrace some fair food favourites, shopping in the park and fantastic vendors in a beautiful outdoor setting. You can also pick-up a fair souvenir, with a selection of Fair merchandise available for purchase to help keep the spirit alive. Watch for upcoming announcements as September approaches highlighting a selection of fair entertainment, special guests, mini horses, and music joining each evening to add a little fair flair. (Outdoor capacity/attendance will be monitored at these events and line-ups to enter may occur.)
September Park It At The Market events will be extra special with a Taste of Western Fair added to Wednesday and Thursday Evenings, September 8/9, 15/16, 22/23, 28/29, 2021.
