COVID-19 Update: The Market At Western Fair District
During these unprecedented times the Western Fair District feels it is important for the local community to continue to have access to food.
We announced yesterday that The Market at Western Fair District would be open its regular hours this weekend – Saturday (8 a.m. – 3 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) with modifications to limit socializing. Since that announcement we have heard from many of our customers and understand their concerns during this of uncertainty.
The goal of opening the Market is to continue to supply the local community with access to fresh food from trusted sources. If you choose to visit the Market this weekend for your shopping needs, you will only see food-related vendors operating on the first floor, with the second floor closed to the public. Some vendors may choose to be closed, and we support their decisions.
Today we can confirm that the following types of foods will be available:
Meat, fish, deli meats, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, pizzas to go, meat pies to go, meals to go bread and coffee.
We continue to monitor the situation closely and remind you to follow the COVID-19 precautionary guidelines being recommended by the various Canadian Health Authorities, including the local health unit (Middlesex London Health Unit), Ontario Health, and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
