This Week’s Comedians
Hailing from the East Coast of Canada, Kyle Hickey has truly been making a name for himself as one of the top rising comedians in the country – entertaining audiences with his clever joke writing and natural charisma. A talented writer, actor and comedian, Kyle has been featured on MTV’s, Losing It, was a regular on the YTV show, Undercover High and has most recently recorded his first taping for the CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival. Kyle’s stand-up can often be heard on SuriusXM’s channel, Canada Laughs, playing bits from his debut album Experimental Phase which went to number one on iTune’s in it’s first week of being released. Performing as part of the ‘New Wave Night’ for JFL42 in Toronto, Kyle has also performed at such festivals as LOL Sudbury, NXNE, Halifax Pop Explosion and Icebreakers Comedy Festival, put on by CBC Radio’s LOL.
Not yet convinced that Kyle is good from his self written bio? Well check these out then, ya jerk!
“Kyle Hickey, a relative newcomer (to Toronto), whose sincere accounts… had the audience in stitches.” - Torontoist.com
“With his act covering everything from long-distance relationships to crazy parties and college stereotypes, the students found it was an act to remember.” - Algonquin Times
“He’s the greatest stand-up comedian to ever come out of my body!” - Kyle’s Mom
Adrienne Fish loves pulled pork sandwiches and is one of Canada’s top up-and-coming comedians. Based out of Toronto, she combines observational comedy, from her everyday life as a nanny, with physical comedy that will make you believe you are in the room with her British mother (who is on morphine).
Chosen to compete for the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award in 2014 and appearing in different festivals across Canada and the States, it’s clear that Adrienne is a natural. Off stage, she is featured weekly on local Toronto TV’s Night Time with Michael A. Charbon, can be heard on SiriusXM’s Canada Laughs and currently produces her own sell-out monthly show at the Comedy Bar. She’s loud, she’s funny, she’s got a fro and she may even attempt to breakdance on stage, so buckle up and enjoy the laughs.
Pat MacDonald is one of the fastest rising comics on the Canadian comedy scene. A combination of quick-witted observations and engaging storytelling have him in high demand at comedy shows throughout the country.
Pat won Now Magazine’s Best Male Stand-Up Comic award in 2015 and was a finalist at the 2015 Border City Comedy Festival. He has appeared on numerous television shows including MTV’s Electile Dysfunction, Losing It, History Channel’s Urban Legends, and is also on regular rotation on SiriusXM Radio’s ‘Canada Laughs’ channel and CBC’s Laugh Out Loud program.
“Likeable observational comic MacDonald takes on relationships, gambling and his bizarre fear of raccoons in his act, which you can see regularly at Yuk Yuk’s. He’s quickly becoming one of the best storytellers in the biz.” – Now Magazine
“Pat MacDonald gets personal with the audience confessing his fear of raccoons. Luckily for him- like father, definitely not like son. MacDonald released a story of his father’s encounters with the animal that had everyone in the crowd in stitches.” – Comedy Uncovered.
