Fridays & Saturdays @ 8PM 

Tickets can be purchased online until 6:00PM the night of the show or on-site at the Grandstand Guest Services desk until 9:00PM or the Box Office one hour before the show. You must be 19+ to attend the show.

Eman El-Husseini

 

 

Since her comedy debut in 2006 Eman El-Husseini has racked up an impressive list of credits. Travelling across Canada, the U.S and the Middle East she covers a wide range of topics, from how lesbians are the new gentlemen to her parents’ wedding anniversary landing on, you guessed it, September 11th. A media darling of sorts, Eman has been featured in major Canadian newspapers such as The National Post, The Toronto Star and The Montreal Gazette. She has also appeared regularly on radio stations such as CJAD, CBC, and CKUT. Her TV credits include a half hour comedy special on CTV, Comedy Network and the iChannel.

The Montreal Gazette describes her as “Fearless and ferociously funny” and named her “The Queen of Montreal comedy”.

Pardis Parker

 

 

Pardis Parker is a corespondent and writer for CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes in Canada, a frequent guest on Comedy Central’s @midnight in the US, and the creator and star of Comedy Central’s hit new digital series, Mideast Minute. As a writer/director he’s earned distinctions from the likes of Disney-ABC, NBCUniversal, the Toronto International Film Festival, Athens International Film Festival, Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian Comedy Awards, and National Screen Institute of Canada. As a comedian he’s performed at comedy clubs and comedy festivals across Canada, the United States, and England.

And as an actor he’s appeared on shows for ABC, CBS, CBC, Showcase, Family Channel, Comedy Central, and others. Raised in Nova Scotia, he’s a six-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee and currently resides in Los Angeles, where he’s a regular performer at the Hollywood Improv, Hollywood Laugh Factory, and World Famous Comedy Store.

Martha Chaves

 

 

Martha Chaves is a busy comic. Her infectious, candid style, her captivating stage presence, and her gift to relate to a wide range of audiences grant her numerous presentations at clubs, colleges, fundraisers, corporate functions and comedy festivals. Martha is a veteran of multiple Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival, and of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. She has also appeared in the Halifax, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Boston Comedy Festivals, and in the “Marshalls’ Women of Comedy,” in NYC. In Spanish, she’s performed in the Festival Del Humor de Caracol, in Bogotá, Colombia.

Her versatile material mixed with her fluency in 4 languages make her an asset to perform for an array of fascinating audiences. For example, the Canadian Peacekeeping Troops (in Alert, Egypt, Israel, and Afghanistan) and The Nobel Women’s Initiative, a delegation of women led by Nobel Peace Prize winners (in Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala). In 2015, Martha warmed up 43,000 people for the 2015 Pan Am Games - Opening Ceremony and in 2016, she hosted the ACTRA Awards, in Toronto. 

Her TV credits include two national comedy specials: COMICS! on CBC, and Something About Martha on CTV and The Comedy Network, plus her TV appearances on Just for Laughs, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, to mention a few. Martha is a regular on CBC Radio’s “Laugh Out Loud,”, “The Debaters,” and “Because News.” Her witty and poignant one-woman show, “In Times of Trouble,” was featured in The SOULO Festival of One-Person Shows, (May 2015) and in ALUNA Theatre’s CAMINOS Festival (November 2015). In 2016, she was invited to perform it in the SOLOCOM Festival in New York City’s PIT Theatre. In May 2017, the SOULO Festival of One-Person Shows launched “A Rebel Without a Pause,” Martha’s autobiographical piece about becoming a Refugee in Canada, and finding her “rebel” voice as a Latin-Canadian, doing comedy in a second language.
