London, Ontario, August 13, 2015: Preparation and planning is complete, and staff and volunteers, are eager to invite you to enjoy a ton of new family fun, delicious food, rides, animals and amazing entertainment. 2015 provides visitors with more opportunities to save, create, participate and make memories. Organizers have been focused on the family experience, providing quality entertainment and attractions that deliver value, excitement and unique experiences. Here’s just a taste of what awaits you!
As you walk from your vehicle to one of the five main entrances you will immediately notice new themed gateways that announce to visitors…you have arrived! BIG fun for tiny tots awaits you at Lil’ Thrill Park Gateway (Rectory St. entrance); follow your nose to Treat Street (King St. entrance) as you float, waffle and dip through a maze of munchies; shouts of ahoy me hearties can be heard as pirates beckon from the gateway to Imagination Park (Dundas St. entrance); sights, sounds and thrills of a BIG, spectacular new midway are just beyond the Carnival Gateway (Florence St.) and farmyard friends call for you with an oink, bah and moo at the Down on the Farm Gateway (Agriplex).

Families and thrifty fairgoers will love $5 before 5, Monday to Thursday. Bring the gang between 3pm and 5pm and everyone is admitted for only $5 dollars each, that’s a $10 savings!

Agriculture returns to the AGRIPLEX
All ten days in the Agriplex enjoy a new layout, Family Farm attraction, large inflatable Corn Maze, and prepare your own Farm Fresh Lunch Box, with Growing Chefs. Friday – Sunday enjoy full metal jousting in the arena and on opening weekend, fan favourite Rawhide Rodeo returns, with a High School Rodeo on Friday and Saturday and Sunday join the professionals in the Industry, including World Champions who will be competing!
AGRICULTURE DAY, Saturday, SEPT 12 - Take part in a City Slicker competition and enjoy 4-H Horse, Dairy, Beef, Sheep, Swine, Rabbits, and Crop & Field competitions in the Agriplex Arena.
Saturday, September 19. A special day for Western Fair’s favourite retired and serving military personnel. Show your military service card and you’re in for free. Fair visitors are encouraged to wear red to show how much you care. Military moments throughout the day, soldiers can catch-up with fellow servicemen when they hit the Canteen for refreshments, military stage shows and displays will educate the public on past and present military activity and a Special Ceremony to mark the day. PS Keep your eyes on the sky for a special FLY-OVER!

Announced last fall an exciting new Fair Midway awaits visitors with 14 new rides, plus many favourites, including the Crazy Mouse Roller Coaster; Niagara Falls Water Flume; 110-Foot Giant Ferris-wheel; Mega Drop Tower, Mach 3 and more. New Children’s Midway rides as well!
Australia comes to London
A variety of rarely seen Australian animals will visit London for ten-days of Down Under family fun. Crocs and Red Kangaroos too!
Trained Humans & Stilt Walkers
Matt Henry is a specialist skilled in juggling, comedy, and other esoteric pursuits; a master of the unnecessary, see if you can find him as he strolls the fair! What’s that on the horizon, so easily seen from afar, gliding over the crowds as it approaches you? Look-up, look way up and say hello to the talented stilt walkers as they strut through the Fair!
Ahoy, Buccaneers and Princesses – young and old! Experience the wonder of the Enchanted Forest, walk the plank and adventure through the wonderful world of pirates and treasures. Welcome to Imagination Park, where fantasy meets the fair. A new FREE family friendly environment for parents to relax as their children enjoy imaginative and magical themed play areas.
Sinbad, has sailed the seven seas with his pirate crew who splash down at the Western Fair in search of treasure in a high-dive spectacle that will be loved by spectators of all ages. Interactive live action Pirate Shows will amaze and amuse families with comedy adventures. Kids can make Mom and Dad walk the plank to get in touch with their inner pirate and the whole family can take part in “Pirate Bootcamp!” with Captain Hook, Captain Jack Sparrow and many more! Imagination Park is the ultimate ‘Piratical’ experience!
For our royal families who will present their princesses at the fair, visit Imagination Park for a chance encounter with a Barbie Princess. Glide on over to the Enchanted Forest Stage to enjoy musical shows starring Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash & Applejack, in an interactive, musical adventure. Enjoy high energy performances by Splash’N Boots. Wave your magic wand in the forest and POOF…clowns, jugglers and strolling performers will delight your little duchesses and mini monarchs.
PARKOUR – Welcome to the latest high octane stage show! Running up walls, jumping off the sides of surfaces, climbing, swinging and vaulting through obstacles and all propelled by the human body – welcome to Parkour located in EXTREME ZONE.

Sunday, September 13 is Mascots of all kinds are our Special Guest at the Western Fair. Many of your favourite plush pals will converge on the District for one-day only! Get ready to meet and greet as you meander through the fair.
Plus the things you’ve come to love!
Food vendors will warm up the griddles, fire up the oil, and tie on their aprons to prepare some fair food favourites as you stroll the street! Food on a stick and deep fried delights not your thing then follow your nose to the Food Court, to take a break and have a meal.
OLG Music Stage & Rise 2 Fame
We’ve got a lot to sing about in our region and Western Fair gives a number of grassroots artists the chance to show their stuff. Check out musicians, dancers, singers and entertainers in the Rise 2 Fame quarter and semi-finals, with youth performing from preliminaries across the region, competing for top-spot at the Western Fair on the Anne Eadie Park Stage.
Enjoy our community’s home-grown music scene throughout the annual fair! Local musicians and artists will open nightly for live Tribute Bands throughout the fair on the OLG Music Stage. (Shania Twin, We Walk the Line, Hot Rocks, Hotel California, The Dixie Chicklets, Practically Hip, Tim E. Hendry, Rattles and Thunderstruck. Terrence B the Hypnotist daily on the OLG Music Stage.
Nothing says ‘fair’ better than a showcase of art and items created by London and area residents. There are tons of talented folks in southwestern Ontario and they enter their creations in our Creative Arts Competitions, on display all ten days. For a little on-the-spot fun we encourage you to try some of our Day-Of competitions: Lego, Yo-Yo, Hula Hoop, Cup Staking and Air Guitar! Register for one or all!
