Tenth Anniversary a Charm!
Record Attendance Moves Show to New Level in the Industry
London, Ontario, January 19, 2015: With the District’s newly renovated Agriplex serving as the backdrop for southwestern Ontario’s favourite food and wine experience, the London Wine and Food Show saw record attendance of over 15,600 over three days, up from 12,173 last year. “We want to thank our loyal show followers, our first class exhibitors and our event staff and volunteers for taking the event to this pinnacle in the market. Everyone should be very proud,” says Show Manager, Rob Lumsden.
Attendance above 15,000 moves the London Wine and Food Show into a new threshold that will attract international exhibitors to London to take part in future events in the District. With the potential for core global exhibitors to compliment the enticing mix of exhibitors that have earned the show a must-do reputation, the event can continue to enhance the offering and raise the bar on customer and industry expectations.
“Our organization’s strategic vision of being recognized as the year-round entertainment District in Southwestern Ontario, just got a little closer,” said Heather Blackwell, Director of Corporate Affairs. “Our team and our partners work very hard to deliver entertaining experiences. We know our customers count on us to do this and their support for this event validates for us, and our exhibitors, that we are on the right track.”
Successful once again was the show’s charity coat check, run by District volunteers, with customers donating $3,562.00 to Veteran’s Arts at Parkwood Hospital, here in London. Veterans thank guests for their support and volunteers recognize the generosity of WFD customers backing local charities in the communities Western Fair District serves.
