Bentley Hearing Services
Bentley Hearing Services is an independently owned Audiology clinic opened in April 2006 by Barb Bentley. We have two audiologists on staff, Barb Bentley and Barb Taylor. We provide a variety of audiological services ranging from hearing tests, central auditory processing evaluations, hearing aid prescription, prescription and adjustment of hearing aids, cleaning and repair of hearing aids, ear cleaning, aural rehabilitation classes and hearing conservation programs including provision of various forms of hearing protection.
What better way to celebrate mind, body, and soul than a Chuckle Run? We love that this event is focused on fitness as well as fun. At Bentley Hearing Services, we believe in both hearing health and whole-body health. Our very own, Barb Bentley, is an avid runner herself!
It’s easy to see the connection between exercise and your whole-body health, but its relation to hearing health isn’t yet common knowledge. Many of the same unhealthy patterns of behavior that affect the heart — poor nutrition, lack of exercise, and smoking, to name a few — are related to loss of hearing. Research suggests there’s a correlation between hearing health and heart disease, diabetes, stress, and the pancreas.
Hearing health is just as important in kiddos, too. It’s imperative to make sure their hearing is in tiptop shape, but it’s equally important to ensure it stays that way, by getting their hearing checked and thinking proactively (keep those headphones at a normal volume!). Being able to hear and communicate is essential to their achieving their full potential.
You and your loved ones should get your hearing checked once a year, just like you do for your eyes or your overall health. At Bentley Hearing Services, our goal is to help you hear the sounds in life that are most important to you. Whether it’s a conversation with friends and loved ones, the laughter of children or grandchildren, or the pleasing tones of music, we don’t want you to miss a single moment.
As audiologists, our years of training, continued education, and expertise allow us to advise you on the most appropriate solutions to your hearing concerns and questions. As professionals and people, we are committed to providing the best care possible.
Even though we’re all about the fun during this run, we take your health seriously, which is why we are so proud to sponsor this event. We hope this doesn’t just tickle your funny bone but inspires you to take a crack at improving your hearing health. We can’t wait to see you out there and share some laughs with you all!
