Youth Talent Search

The Youth Talent show has been a highlight of the Western Fair for 30 years.
Since its inception in 1981, the ‘search’ has touched the lives of thousands of talented youngsters from across the province and appreciative audiences have been captivated by their amazing performances. Preliminary contests are held all summer in communities from Teeswater to Essex. The winners of those regional competitions travel to London, families in tow, to capture the applause of London fairgoers.
Now staged at the Anne Eadie Stage in the park, the Youth Talent competition continues to be an integral part of the Fair. This year’s multi-gifted line-up of young people ages 6 to 21 will include musicians, dancers, singers and entertainers. One act from the senior division will be chosen to compete in the national championship held in London in November.
Prizes & Awards
Overall Winner:
$1,000.00 Cash, a trophy and
an expense-paid trip to Calgary AB to compete in the Canadian Association of Fairs & Exhibitions National Talent Awards in November. The CAFE competition is generously supported by North American Midway Entertainment.
Overall Runner-Up:
$500.00 Cash and a trophy (if the overall winner is unwilling or unable to travel to the Canadian Youth Talent Competition, the Overall Runner-Up will be invited instead).
$100.00 Cash will be given to each of the remaining 10 Finalists.

$150.00 Cash and a trophy
2nd Place Winner:
$100.00 Cash and a trophy.
3rd Place Winner:
$50.00 Cash and a trophy
