How it Works

Do you SING, DANCE or PLAY and are between the ages of 6 and 21 then the Rise 2 Fame Youth Talent Search is looking for you.
 
The Youth Talent show has been a highlight of the Western Fair for 32 years.  Since its inception in 1981, the ‘search’ has touched the lives of thousands of talented youngsters from across the province and appreciative audiences have been captivated by their amazing performances.  This contest along with the preliminaries has been the start to many careers
 
Every year the Western Fair District organizes in conjunction with fairs and festivals across South Western Ontario a Youth Talent Search to give the Youth in our communities a chance to perform in front of a live audience.  There are 18 Preliminary contests across Southwestern Ontario for you to choose from.  Preliminaries are held all summer in communities from Teeswater to Essex. The winners of those regional competitions will travel to London, compete in the finals during our 10 day fair.
 
Social media is playing a big part with the youth of today and we in the Western Fair District are excited to be a part of that.  The video preliminary is back for a second year by popular demand Entries can be sent in by July 12th.   From here our panel of judges will select 30 entries to perform live at our preliminary on Aug 10th, in the Carousel Room in the district.  At this preliminary the judges will chose 5 youth and 3 juniors to participate at our annual fair.   
 
The Rise 2 Fame competition continues   to be an integral part of the Fair. This year’s multi-gifted line-up will be back on the Anne Eadie Stage, with an array of young people ages 6 to 21 will include musicians, dancers, singers and entertainers.

Overall Winner:

$ 1,500.00 Cash prize plus a trophy.

Runner-up:

$ 750.00 and a trophy. 

$ 150.00 Cash will be given to each of the remaining 10 Finalists.

Junior: Rise 2 Fame Talent Search:

$250.00 Cash and a trophy

2nd Place Winner:

$200.00 Cash and a trophy.

3rd Place Winner:
