  Splashworks

If there’s one thing that can be said about a live concert by the Sam Roberts Band, it’s that nobody wants it to end, even the band itself. Each member pours their all into the performance -- their energy, their voices, and their passion for the music -- to ensure the audience not enjoys the show but becomes part of it. Described as being ‘exuberant’, ‘charismatic’ and with a ‘searing rock and roll vibe’, the group has earned an enviable reputation of being a must-see live band.

Their new album “Collider” was released in May. When asked about the name, Roberts explained, "Ideas collide, especially when you're making music. When you take things that are seemingly different, you can smash them together and create something new." London concert-goers can expect a great show featuring an awesome mix of their older hits infused with hip, funky songs from the new album

Barenaked Ladies

Barenaked Ladies

EZRock

The move from five to four could be a tough transition for a lesser group, but Barenaked Ladies are no ordinary rock band. Founded as a duo in 1988 by schoolmates Ed Robertson and Steven Page, the group soon grew to five members and took Canada by storm with their five-song indie cassette, The Yellow Tape. Over the next decade-plus, their albums Gordon, Rock Spectacle, Stunt and Maroonwent multi-platinum in the U.S., and Barenaked Ladies became a top-selling, award-winning concert draw across North America and The U.K. with their frenetic blend of high-energy melodic-pop, crack musicianship and spontaneous repartee

The result of new contributions from within is a recording that is stylistically adventurous, musically diverse and the most emotionally riveting and honest work by the band to date."All in Good Time" is the 11th studio album from Barenaked Ladies, dropped back in March, 2010.

See this unforgettable live band September 13th as they rock the Grandstand and prove that "All in Good Time" was worth the wait,

Colbie Caillat

with special guest: Andy Grammer

Wednesday, September 14 @ 7:30 PM

Tickets include FREE admission to the Fair

It’s hard to believe that Colbie Caillat was passed over by American Idol – not once, but twice! The second time she auditioned, she performed a self-penned song called Bubbly. Again, she didn’t make the cut. Colbie had the last laugh though as that song later skyrocketed to number one on the Adult Contemporary Billboard Chart in 2007, holding there for 14 weeks. ”Bubbly” remains her biggest single to date and she’s sure to perform it when she takes to the Western Fair grandstand stage on September 14th.

Good thing Colbie didn’t give up her dream because the 26 year-old singer/songwriter is now a Grammy award winning artist whose popularity continues to grow. She became a fresh new face in contemporary music primarily through her MySpace page, which saw millions and millions of her posted songs. It wasn’t long before record companies came calling and Colbie signed with Universal.

Her music is upbeat, often described as having a ‘summertime’ vibe or beachy feel. Maybe that’s because Colbie in Malibu. The house was always filled with music. Her Dad, Ken Caillat, co-produced Fleetwood Mac’s legendary “Rumours” and “Tusk” albums. Colbie herself didn’t seem musically inclined until she saw Lauryn Hill sing in ‘Sister Act 2’ and that’s when she set her sights on a career in music. So far, it’s been pretty much all high notes for the beautiful California girl.

Her latest album “All of You” was released on July 12, 2011. The first release, I Do, has an infectious, finger snapping beat that dances around the hallowed marital vow. The title of her current single Brighter Than the Sun is an apt description of her sparkling personality and gorgeous smile.

Every show is a party and we dare the audience to have more fun than us. DWW

London, are you up for the challenge? Caution: the band’s wildly energetic and spectacular performances are hard to keep up with! Their appearance on the Western Fair Grandstand will be no exception. These guys love what they do. Pleasing their fans is a priority and their wicked live shows sell out across the country. The band has had several recent high-profile gigs including the Juno Awards, MuchMusic Video Awards and the 2010 Grey Cup. A band you can’t put a label on, KISS frontman Gene Simmons, called them "a cross between Arrested Development, Sly & The Family Stone and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their music is like a stew that's made out of familiar ingredients but tastes different because of the way it's blended and cooked." Down With Webster is comprised of MCs Bucky and Cam Hunter, lead singer and guitarist Pat Gillett, bassist/keyboardist Tyler Armes, drummer Andrew “Marty” Martins and Diggy the DJ.
