In its 78th year the London Farm Show once again welcomes the agricultural industry to the Western Fair District.
Taking over the District’s 290,000 square feet of show space from March 2nd – 4th will be the top agricultural exhibits, displays, technology, seminars and education.
“The 2016 show continues to expand and emphasize agricultural technology, education and farm improvement,” said Cheron Chamberlain, Agriculture Manager, Western Fair District. “It’s a great event and worth a day away from the farm to research, relax and connect with the industry.”
Organizers continue to ensure the Farm Show is an entertaining event for exhibitors and guests alike.
The annual induction of worthy recipients into the Middlesex Agricultural Hall of Fame takes place on Wednesday, March 2, from 11:30am until 2:30pm in the Carousel Room, Western Fair District. The 2016 ceremony honours Arthur Ernest Blashill; Dorinda Greenway and Kenneth Brown Patterson who all made significant contributions to the agricultural industry in Middlesex County.
New this year, customers can experience the DuPont Pioneer Lounge located in the Metroland Media Agriplex lobby. Join DuPont Pioneer and agronomy experts as they break down the key industry trends and issues. Join industry professionals while they discuss residue and nitrogen management, weed management in Roundup Ready systems as well as strategies for the upcoming year.
The Farm Show will celebrate Ontario Agri-Food Education’s (OAFE) 25th Anniversary by partnering with them to build agri-food career awareness within regional high school students attending the show. Look for student friendly exhibitor booths, providing career facts supported by OAFE educational resources.
As in past years, seminars will be presented over the three-day show which will educate and inspire. The speaker stage, located in the Metroland Media Agriplex Arena, showcases industry experts who will provide knowledgeable and articulate comment on the agriculture industry. Back this year to the speaker stage is Moe Augustino who will share his insights on bean and grain markets in 2016 with his presentation “Will the Bean Market End the Grain Markets in 2016?”
Staff and volunteers of Western Fair District’s Farm Show look forward to welcoming you to this year’s event.
