Sloan wasn’t lying to themselves, because they will be livin’ it in Canada on Friday June 14th!
Rock out with the Halifax native group as they play the anthems that have raised generations. Sloan has released twelve full-length albums, two EPs, a live album, and a greatest hits album. Known as ‘legendary’ the band has totalled more than 30 singles throughout their career. Canadian strong, Sloan has received nine Juno Award nominations, winning one. Their album Commonwealth became known as the album that was comprised of four mini solo LPs, proving each member of the group holds an equal share in lead vocals, writing music, and playing instruments. Texas King
Texas King formed in 2013 and before long, began earning a reputation for their high-energy rock shows. After tours of Ontario and the east coast of Canada to support a debut EP, October 2017 saw the release of their anticipated full-length album Circles. The albums lead single “Boomerang” generated attention at Canadian radio, most notably at Toronto’s 102.1 The Edge, and led to an appearance on Global TV during their Canadian release tour.
It’s often said that Texas King is best experienced when seen, not just heard. Now armed with their hook-filled debut, the band is ready to make their mark in the world of rock music - one rowdy club at a time.

Taylor Knox
Ever since Pete Townshend coined the term “power pop” in 1967, fans, critics and musicians alike have clung to its principles of crunchy guitars, smooth harmonies and tales of tragic young love, in the never-ending battle to keep rock and roll’s flame burning brightly.
Those hearing Knox for the first time may hear immediate echoes of Sloan. It seems only natural given his friendship with Andrew Scott, drummer for the Halifax legends, whom Knox met when The Golden Dogs played several shows in support of Sloan. Scott has since served as Knox’s drummer on occasion. While the spirit of the ‘90s Halifax pop explosion is noticeable in Knox’s work, he has channeled it into an instantly memorable sound thoroughly his own by finally strapping on a guitar and bringing his lanky frame out from behind the drum kit.
Power pop may be harder than ever to define, but great songs remain its foundation. Taylor Knox has a lot of them to offer, and ‘Lines’ is just the beginning.
