Help Us Give Back to the Community
London, Ontario, August 20, 2013: In an effort to help those in our community who are struggling to put food on the table each day, the Western Fair will hold a food drive, working in partnership with the London Food Bank, throughout the annual 10-day event.
Western Fair is participating in an international Food Drive initiative organized by the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE). Fairs across North America are supporting this effort to collect non-perishable food items for vulnerable members of their communities.
“Visitors are encouraged to contribute to this initiative during the 10-day Western Fair by donating food at the gates when they arrive,” said Heather Blackwell, Director of Corporate Affairs, “collection bins will be positioned at all gates (King, Rectory, Dundas, Florence and Agriplex) throughout the event, September 6-15 and to thank our guest’s for their generosity we will offer an incentive, each visitor who brings two or more food donations will receive one free trip on the Sky Ride*.”
Jane Roy, Director of the London Food Bank states, “the partnership between Western Fair and the London Food Bank goes back a long way - almost from our inception. With the increasing challenge of feeding hungry families, that partnership is required now more than ever. This is the Western Fair District caring for Londoners as it always has and helping the London Food Bank to fulfill its immense challenge of assisting needy Londoners.”
Western Fair thanks our guests in advance for your generosity. Your contributions will go a long way to making the lives of many individuals and families in London a little easier.
*(One free sky-ride coupon per visitor who donates two or more non-perishable food items at the gate. Sky Ride Coupon good for one person, one trip, day of arrival only.)

"The Bounceback has been replaced by our 2 for 1 admission days Monday-Thursday. In 2012 we had both promotions running and it created customer confusion and a negative experience for some of our guests.
