Eras of Legendary Canadian Talent set to come together at Annual Western Fair

London, Ontario – July 9, 2018: Ten days of fair festivities. Four nights of concerts. Memories forever. Start the countdown to the annual Western Fair as London’s last blast of summer gets the party started, with the announcement of its 2018 concert line-up. 


The Agriplex will hit home with music fans as the venue hosts mid-week music for the City’s much loved fall fair. Concerts have been an integral part of fair memories for generations of attendees and the grounds will be rocking to more than the Himalaya and the Zipper this year.   


Great value and entertainment come with concert pricing ranging from $30 - $40, fees and taxes in.  Concert tickets include all day fair admission, so why not take in some attractions, jump on a ride and indulge in your favourite fair food before the concert.

Setting the stage on Monday, September 10th is April Wine. Undeniably catchy hard rock songs, 11 Juno nominations, and over 20 million albums worldwide sold is what this dynamic Quintet is known for. Their top 40 international smash hit “Just Between You and Me”, made them the first Canadian Band on MTV. In 2010 they were inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame for their achievements. 


Tuesday, September 11th is one for the books with indie rock group Walk off the Earth (WOTE). This Burlington based band grew a loyal fan base on YouTube, adding their own unique flair to covers of mainstream music. Their viral five-person-playing-one-guitar cover of Gotye’s single, “Somebody That I Used to Know”, went viral and received 180 million views. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t heard their masterpiece rendition of “Somebody That I Used to Know”. Well known favourites include “Fire In My Soul”, “Rule The World” and their track “Red Hands”, which gained them the #1 spot at AAA. WOTE has sold out venues across the world and joined forces with artists such as Keith Urban, Snoop Dogg & Steve Aoki.  


2017 Juno nominee for Country Album of the Year, Aaron Pritchett, will be “Getting Rowdy” on Wednesday, September 12th. His high energy rock-meets-country anthems have propelled him through a successful Canadian tour, publically applauded albums and a profusion of chart topping tracks. Make sure to mark your calendars and listen out for ”Worth A Shot”, Pritchett’s newest country tune.   


Last, but certainly not least, highly acclaimed Burton Cummings and Band will be rocking out the final show on Thursday, September 13th. The “American Woman” singer is most widely known as the keyboardist for The Guess Who. His successful solo work is also widely recognized, with top hits such as “Stand Tall” and “My Own Way to Rock”. Cummings never fails to give a memorable performance.
