2015 High-School Basketball Championship coming to the District

London, Ontario, February 18, 2015: February 24th to 25th will launch two sports-filled days at Western Fair District, made possible by a great collaboration between a number of local organizations and businesses, as Thames Valley District, London Catholic and French First Language Boards launch the 2015 Boys Basketball Championship in the Agriplex Arena. 

Through the support of the City of London, Budweiser Gardens, Global Spectrum and the London Lightning, Tourism London, OES Scoreboards, Med-on-Site and Western Fair District, the Budweiser Garden’s basketball court (portable floor), baskets and shot clock will be moved to the Agriplex at the District. Score boards and video boards will be supplied by OES Scoreboards.  The new location will house the court and provide a much larger venue for fans, with the ability to house over 1500 guests.  All organizations have supplied a critical component that will create a meaningful sports experience for teams and fans of local basketball in London, Ontario.

The community effort will deliver a gold standard in terms of high-school basketball championships, providing an elite opportunity for players and an exceptional entertainment experience for fans.  Anyone is welcome to come and watch the games, admission is $5 at the door and parking is free, with food and beverage concessions open in the lobby. TVDSB Games get underway Tuesday, February 24, doors open at 2:30pm with games times at 4pm, 6pm, 8pm. LDCSB Games: Wednesday, February 25, Doors open 8:30am with game times at 10am, 12pm, 6pm and 8pm. The Championship will wrap up February 25.
